Our house was just a couple of blocks away from Port Hueneme. It was in the 70’s most days, just a little breezy, and such a nice last hurrah for summer. We had cocktails on the beach, I read magazines, Jared perfected his Sudoku game, and we played dominos under an umbrella. I love everything about the beach but sunscreen, which I have to pile on because I’m so fair-skinned and my dad has already had several pre-cancerous growths removed from his skin. I’m missing the beach, but not the goopy feeling of sunscreen :) One more week left of summer. BOO!
