Our favorite local brewery held an “Oktoberfest” yesterday (yes, it’s September) here in town, and we went to check it out for a while. It was kid-friendly, so the girls got to stand around and ask “when are we going to leave” for a while as we sampled a couple of beers and I got to talk to some of my sorority sisters <3 Lotsa fun!

Day 6 of the 30-Day Challenge is “From a low angle” — Ainsley jumping on her bed :)

Day 5 of the 30-Day Photography Challenge is to take a picture from a high angle. Kitty was willing to oblige me once again. I really am not turning into a cat lady.

Day 4 of the 30-Day Challenge – the theme is “green.” I went a little crazy, but I think the frog is my “official” submission :)

30-Day Challenge, Day 3 – Clouds :) We had some!

My pretty girl :) She’ll be 7 in a month!
{2/30} of the 30-Day Challenge
Today’s theme for the 30-Day Challenge is “What you wore today.” I’m no fashionista, and I definitely am not preoccupied with labels and brand names :) So here’s my cheapo Old Navy shirt, Express crop jeans, and Mary Jane style red Crocs. (yes, Crocs!) Carting kids around, grocery shopping, looking for soccer shorts, going to AAA to do paperwork, etc. calls for comfy, not sophisticated!

Day One of the 30-Day Challenge is to take a self portrait. I’m kind of over those, but I obliged with a cliche mirror shot :)
30-Day Challenge
Some fellow photographers and I are starting this 30-day challenge for our daily pictures.
Today is my day 1 of this challenge and day 254 of 365 for my 2011 project :)
{253/365}
I started a daily challenge with some fellow photographers at ClickinMoms and have started to post my daily photo on their joint blog, but I am also going to start posting them here, too. I usually do post many here, just not under the ‘daily picture’ theme :) So, today is day 253 of 365! I started on January 1st of 2011 with self portraits, but got tired of seeing myself, so I switched to just a photo a day somewhere along the line. Thus far I’ve kept the bulk of my 365 projects on Flickr — this is year 4 for me, but I only succeeded in finishing the project in 2008 with a self portrait every day. What was I thinking?
Here’s Domino, stalking me in the sun. He has terrible blown highlights, but he’s a mostly white cat, they’re hard to avoid! Adding my photos into the mix with these very talented photographers is going to really push me to take a great photo a day, not just any photo. I hope…
