Elf on the Shelf, Days 6 and 7

(All of my Elf on the Shelf pictures for 2011 are located here)

Our elf did some yoga and the next day, he relaxed in the bubble bath ;) The girls actually asked if they could eat a marshmallow. Out of the sink. After the marshmallows had sat there all day. Ewww.

The magic of a snowglobe :)

I take a photo like this every year, but I’m too lazy to dig up the ones from past years to post along with this year’s…

Milo (that’s what we named him) built himself a tire swing and hung it from the ceiling! He must have had a busy night…

My girls are LOVING this… and we’re secretly loving coming up with ideas when they go to bed ;) It only takes us a moment, but they get a day’s worth of smiles out of it. Day 2 he was only sitting on the nutcracker’s shoulders. Day 3 was a little more elaborate – having tea with our lawn gnome.

“S” Family Photos

This is one of my closest friends and her husband and daughter :) I always am so thrilled to do family photos for my close friends — and selfishly, it’s kind of exciting to see your photos come in the mail on other people’s holiday cards!

Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 30

I’m thankful for this man. I adore him. He makes me laugh, he makes me smile, he makes me happy :)

Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 29

I’m thankful for health and wellness of both body and mind – for myself as well as that of my loved ones. In our house, no one has to take a single medication or ‘pill’ for any reason, save the occasional cold or headache. I know this makes us lucky, and I’m thankful for that. I’m a BIG proponent of healthy eating, and trying to teach that to kids when they spend their days with lots of kids whose parents aren’t that way is sometimes an uphill battle… it’s amazing to me what parents pass off to their kids as “food.”
