Family BBQ Sunday

We hung out today with family, BBQ’ed, simultaneously played games on the Wii AND PS3, and then went for a bikeride. Tomorrow is Monday, and I don’t have ANYWHERE to be :)

First Day of Summer!

I still had to work today for a while, but it was the girls’ first official day of summer :) Once the sun provided a little shade in the front yard, we went out and Jared sprayed Ainsley with the hose for a while. Avery didn’t think it sounded fun, but Ainsley was all over it :)

Beginning and end of the school year photos :)

I love doing this :) The girls love to see their changes too. Poor Avery has a LOT less teeth now than she did at the beginning of the year. She just lost another one yesterday!

I uploaded a full size one of Avery since hers are much smaller to squeeze them all in. It’s here. It’s pretty crazy to see her changes. Ainsley doesn’t look too different just yet :)

Technically, these were taken on the second to the last day since tomorrow is the last day and I’ll be at work with my students. I figured one day off wasn’t fudging the date TOO much…

I originally posted these 4 small, but since they’re all of my girls, I’m posting them larger instead :)

Arf! Play, 2012

Avery was in this same play last year, as a first grader. This year, she had one of the lead roles. It’s basically about a bunch of purebred dogs that all want to win the dog show with their special talent, whether it be rolling over, fetching, or sitting. Avery’s character, Rover, is the only mutt of the group, and his (her?) special talent is reciting Shakespeare. Rover blows away the judges and they proclaim her (him?) the winner of the dog show. I tell you, I know it was only a second grade play, but I was totally welling up with tears and so overwhelmingly proud of my girl! One of the great experiences you get to have as a parent :) Here are a few photos to share.
