Still have 12 loads of laundry to do, but I’m glad to be home :)

I truly enjoy camping, but there is one thing I hate – waking up in the middle of the night and having to use the restroom. The only redeeming factor is that sometimes there’s something pretty cool to photograph, and since I’m paranoid and keep my camera gear right next to me in the tent, my camera was easy to grab and snap a shot of the moon. If I hadn’t have been so tired at this moment, I would have waited until it set over the water, but since it wasn’t a full moon, it probably wouldn’t have looked much different anyway :)

I love how this turned out, but if you’re like me, your eye goes right to Avery’s jacked up teeth. LOL

On the walkway down to the beach. Not long before sunset :)

I’m pretty sure this is the best campsite at El Capitan State Beach. The last two years we’ve been only two spots away. Someday I hope we get this one!

Day two at the beach — the girls were building sand castles and having a little “mine will be better than yours” moment. They were back to back, flinging sand over their shoulder and the sand from one hole was being flung into the other’s… it was kind of funny for a moment ;)
