We found Milo this morning peeking through the hole in Herve Tullet’s “The Book with a Hole,” which is a great book, by the way!
Here is a collage of my Elf on the Shelf pictures from 2011. Many are original, some are borrowed from others!

Our Elf on the Shelf, Milo, was being chased in the Barbie Jeep this morning by a dinosaur, à la Jurassic Park ;)

Milo, our elf, was crowd surfing with the Littlest Pet Shop figurines this morning… he’s a real hometown hero, I suppose.

Year two for our family and our elf, Milo :) I already posted recently a collage of last year’s photos here if you’re interested. Yesterday I was contacted by the media director at Headline News asking if they could show a few of my elf pictures from last year on their TV show “Making it in America” on Monday. I’ve honestly never seen the show, but figured what the heck and agreed to allow them. If only I had known how much traffic the elf would bring to my blog. It’s a little crazy! Thank you for visiting if that’s what brought you here :)
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 30: Thankful for photography. It makes me think, makes me react, and makes me feel something, everything. Without photography, I’d be lost. I’m thankful to have a husband who ‘gets’ me and children who willingly do the things I ask them to do in front of the camera without too much bribery needed…
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 29: Thankful for dewy mornings in fall :)
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 28: Thankful for a career that allows me to be done working early enough to hang out with my kids in the afternoon. Also, I’m lucky to have my vacation time overlap with theirs :)
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 27: Thankful for long drives on dusty roads…
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 26: Thankful to be back to a routine for a few weeks. I’d rather sleep in, but since sleeping in doesn’t exist when you have small children and a puppy, I’d rather be back to business as usual. At least then I’m not grumpy that someone woke me up when I could have slept in! Maybe over Christmas vacation I can work out a system of bribery with my kids since we’ll have more time to practice…
We’re back home from a camping trip to Johnson Valley with friends for Thanksgiving. It was the maiden voyage for our new (to us) family camping trailer. I used to pride myself on being a true camper and sleeping in a tent. Suffice it to say, tent camping is overrated ;) Just a few shots from our time out in the desert.
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 22: Thankful for friends who like to have non-traditional Thanksgiving celebrations!
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 23: Thankful for adventurous kids!
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 24: Thankful that my kids are easily entertained!
Thirty Days of Thankfulness, Day 25: Thankful for desert trips. I love the desert!
